Why would anyone trust the seller enough to send them a single penny, given what we now know? The "value" of something is irrelevant if the owner of that something can't be trusted to actually sell it to you at a particular price.

I wouldn't trust a non-established member to send me a £4,000+ domain with no buyer protection such as Escrow anyway. If people are that trusting then they're idiots. Trust is not an issue when it comes to the raw value of letting.co.uk which was my original point. Regardless of who is selling and what they've done (damage to the domain aside), the domain value in itself is the same. If I value letting.co.uk at £2,500 then whether he transfers it to me or not, the domain is still valued at that.

Sure, you'd be sceptical when dealing with him and more cautious than in other situations but in terms of the domain, it's value is it's value. Whatever has happened.
