page impressions

Can someone clarify for me please if 'page impressions' in my google adsense account are the amont of unique views over whatever period I pick? i.e 'yesterday'

Ok, but this particular site only has one page... so that therefore means the amount of times the page was visited right?

Just like Jeewhizz said, It is the number of times an ad was shown.
Please anyone CMIIW, if 1 page consist of 3 ads, so every user open that page, it would be count as 3 page impression.
