Has anyone done any experiments to compare revenue from the various domain parking outfits?

i.e. parking the same tranche of domains say a month at a time with a, b, c and d to compare revenues.

Surely someone has some idea of the pros and cons of the various parking services?

Who gets the highest revenues? Do some perform better in regional markets ie services specifically for .co.uks?

imo it would be a great resource for the members here if we had some objective comparisons.

If no-one has done such a survey already, maybe some of us could run a joint project?

I've seen some comparisons elsewhere - maybe do a google search on domain parking comparison?

From the ones I have experimented with, namedrive, streamic and sedo seem to be most effective for UK names, and I have my names split across each three. They all have their pros and cons - and really you need to try out your names at each to see where the best place to park is for you.

Stephen.

so many people talk about this but no one ever seems to get anywhere.

i know some people who have moved from one company to another and believe they are getting the most money they can from company X.

i did the same but found company Y to be much better.

i have also heard about people hosting the names on their servers and rotating the traffic form their domains between 3-4 different parking companies with mixed results.

i am sure if you could create a good solid automated system *which is technically not hard to do, you might get an increase in profits* if you can be bothered :)

the amount domains earn is very domain specific so park your domains @ comapny A for 30 days.. then move to B for 30 days.. then C.. .and compare ... quick and dirty way of doing it...

Just saw this thread get bumped, so I thought I would chime in. At the end of the day the most important thing is revenue.

You will find that some do better with Parking company A, some names will perform better with Parking company B, and so on.

These days, the majority of parking companies now use either a Google or Yahoo feed. Some domains perform better with G, some with Y.

And from this you would need to further determine, of the domains that perform better on G/Y, which parking provider is best.

A lot of hard work, but in the end your domains will be earning the most.

Cheers,

Mike
