What do you do with your parked domains? Do you just park them or do you promote them in any way?
I park at sedo and put in a keyword and description but am not impressed with the results. Am I missing out on some fundamentals?

To be fair, if the domain in your sig are an example of your top domains then the return your are getting on your parking is fair.

I assume they are not your top performers though?

No they are crap, so I put them in my sig to hopefully get a few clicks!
I have some half decent ones and a total of about 60-70 domains but not had one offer via sedo and very little clicks bar a couple of typo's

Saying that do you make anything out of DavidJason.co.uk????

Ive got a few domains like DJ and they make about £30 a day from Amazon.

They are frowned upon on here :)

I just don't understand where i'm going wrong?

There are 4 types of domain

a) names that someone may want to purchase from you one day but do nothing parking wise

b) typos

c) names with TM issues - bbcradio.co.uk and the like

d) single word generics 'sun.co.uk' 'moon.co.uk'

To maximise income from parking, you need b) and c)

To make sales from domains you need a smattering of a) and lots of d)

A healthy portfolio I think has names from all 4 categories.

firestars

that is one of the most useful replies I have seen here (and I am not diss'ing anyone). I often wonder how my portfolio compares and whether I am going in the right direction, and this really helps.

thanks

Whats the score with parked domains on google?
Reason I ask is I have domains parked at sedo which previously appeared on google but now don't seem to be?
One domain I have doesn't appear, yet the .com is pr1 and is parked at sedo too?
What's the difference between my .co.uk and the .com

Do you submit parked domains to the search engines or do they get blocked?

thanks in advance
