Ha

Oh yes Nominet...

Nominet states on this case 'Nominet recognises that experts may on occasion make mistakes'

My comment in respect to generic domain names 'Nominet doesn't recognise (through the policy) that registrants may on occassion make mistakes when using their domain names'

When experts make mistakes we should transfer their expert title to another....keep it fair

...Therefore I ask - Can the Nominet Contract be voidable under the Doctrine of Mistake??? :???:

It's interesting to note that looking at the overall appeal results that 53% of 'expert' decisions that have gone to appeal have been overturned - so not a good picture.

More interesting is that for this year alone the percentage of 'expert' decisions that have gone to appeal and have been overtured is a WOPPING 83% - !!!

Surly Nominet 'must' be getting the message now! :???:

Roll on the new year!

Regards,

Sneezy.

Somehow, I doubt it. Mind if I rattle off one of my old favourites which is "cost of doing business"? :p

Well I'm sure they can claim the £3k back somehow, that's how courts work right? if you have to defend yourself you can claim costs back after winning, I 'kin would after spending £3k, they're clearly wrong it's been judged now it's get your money back time.

I know you're rich enough to put everything in costs of business but others can be made to go to the wall (not Millwall - fortunately for them) over decisions by these arses. Where's the deterrant if the defendent doesn't go after monies from the complainant? So yes you all sit back spend your £3ks like it's going out of fashion and let complainants think it's that easy.

Trading Standards

Jay, why are you replying to a post of many days ago?

Are you implying that you have just been given the all clear from Trading Standards i.e. that you are ok to sell the current contract to your consumers?

Actually I didn't realise it was that old. But as far as I know there is no time limit here?

I think it is best we don't get into that one. Mainly because I don't understand what the point is but also because I think I'm not really the right person to ask.
