does anyone have a sony ericsson experia x10? im thinking about going and getting one...read alot of good reviews :-?

thats the 2 i am looking at, the x10 has a nice big screen and better camera, but i think thats about the only difference.....decided im off to get the x10....report back later

this is a sexy looking phone, may take some time to find my way around it though

think i may still find myself using the blackberry more often for ease of use

Hi

I hope you're enjoying your new phone. Out of interest, where did you buy it from?

Out of interest, what are the reasons you prefer to buy offline rather than online? Did you have a look at online deals first?

Thanks and rgds

got it from vodafone
i did look around online but only really at reviews.
i prefer to go into a shop and touch/play around with things rather than order online, plus i cant be bothered to wait around for delivery, and i find most of the time i can haggle a good enough deal face to face, and its a good excuse to get away from the computer and have a chat with different people

Thanks for the feedback. My biggest issue with ordering online is also waiting for delivery, especially when it's waiting for the latest technology. :D

Are you pleased with the phone then? What features sold the phone to you?

Rgds

main selling points were android/big screen/camera and the fact that its supposed to be one of the best phones released for a long time along with the desire
i can see it will take a long time to work it out though, its packed with................stuff  iv only just got to grips with the storm

I tried an x10 for my next phone, and to be honest android was a little too buggy for me, I had it for about 3 hours and like you do with a new phone, you play with the features, change things etc, and I managed to crash it, and it hangs ALOT when your doing several things at once.

I think when the next firmware update comes out, and they fix alot of the problems, it will be worth getting then, but at the moment its too ugh.

I prefer the Xperia x1, which the screen and camera in my opinion are way better.

I will point out the xperia uses the 'business' software from Sony, which is as different as Chalk and Cheese from the 'usual' sony software, so just because you like your K800, W995 etc doesn't mean you'll like the xperia as its a totally different beast. If you liked the P-Series phones, you'll like the Xperia.

The p800 was essentially the seminal phone for huge touch screens, why on earth they did it Black and White 3 months before colour screens I don't know, then the p900 was a huge leap in colour and resolution, then the p910 was the height of the phones, then unfortunately the p990 was just more of the same shit, and the p1i was just pure garbage.

The p900-990 are stil phones I use today as my back up phones.

X-10 is great but quite big hence the X-10 mini & X-10 mini-pro

The X-10 mini-pro has a qwerty keyboard.
