Good morning,

A quick update: I have just removed the sidebar for individual thread pages > less cluster.

Ads displayed: 2x header banners, a banner below the first thread (currently on rotation: Domain Summit Asia 2025 and Domain Summit Africa 2026) and a footer banner (currently = none; previously = Domain Days Dubai)

note: with the footer banner we usually help our industry friends and forum friends/members to push out their message > feel most welcome to send me a DM to get your banner listed there for free for few days or a week (happy to help if you need that extra push for announcing new launch, special promo or an important systems update)

Acorn is heavily used as a free marketplace, and, of course, is as close to a neutral ground as possible (as isn't owned by a particular service or marketplace) that allows you all advertising your UK domains and various services totally free of charge. And, most of these advertising/sales threads don't have many words > so, a sidebar could damage the readibility of your sales threads. So, this decission was made to remove the sidebar completelly.

Any comments? Suggestions?

.. maybe questions about our advertisers? .. we are blessed to have great industry friends that slowly start advertising with us, as we have stepped into a new age of Acorn culture that doesn't insult other members, and organizations/brands of our industry (even if they aren't our members). I still meet lots of influential domain industry members that are scarred by forum keyboard warriors, and still have lots of resentment and pain because of this. And, having premium members does allow us to experiment and run the forums as a business with its own expenses.

Happy weekend!!
