Was looking on hostinger at 4 number 777X and 888X.io domains for a gambling project that im working on and the pricing makes zero sense.

So I checked on Namecheap and it seems to be the same thing. What is going on?

Most triple 8s like 1888.io and 5888.io are being held for $5k to $10k now, but then you find a few stragglers in the hundreds or low $1k range

Look at the 7778.io vs 7777.io gap one is $8,000 and the other is $495? And 8882.io is listed for under $2k while the rest of the 888 series is $10k?

I'm half tempted to snag the $500-$1800 ones just to flip them to the $10k guys, but I can't tell if the $10k floor is actually real or just a pipe dream

What do you guys think? Is $500 for a 777-8 pattern a steal or am I just falling for the $10k anchor price?

Hi mrpumpkin,

What you’re seeing is pretty common in numeric domains, especially in patterns tied to gambling or Asian numerology.

A lot of those prices aren’t coming from a consistent market floor. They’re coming from portfolio pricing strategies. Large holders often price most of a pattern very high to establish an anchor, then leave a few names priced much lower either because they were acquired later, overlooked in bulk pricing, or simply used to test liquidity.
