What is going on here? .inc? Who wants that for this price.

I just checked and .inc are $2000 USD each (cost price) at the registry.

Seem to have been around since May 2019 and currently showing about 4500.

Interestingly they say “Sales are invoiced; no registry deposit necessary”.

I looked at their website, and they have some big brands registered. But why on Earth are they so expensive? Obviously, companies like Amazon etc. don't care. If the brand is big enough, $2k is nothing. But is it a neccesity? Amazon didn't register aws.uk, for example. So why did they register aws.inc? Strange. Maybe it's an American thing.
