I have modified a number of wordpress plugins to help with my domaining needs. Some simple container widgets for example I have a skyscraper aff code widget holder, where I input my aff code (say Awin/Amazon Widget) and drop the widget on my side bar. I've adjusted it to various sizes for my own ordering.

I've also created a fixed Amazon one, which you just put your aff code in, I have various others that just make filling my side bars easier.

I was wondering what you have created ?

A bulk csv uploader to add affiliate products to a site. Used it on my diamond necklaces website.

Added a few thousand products in about 5 minutes :)

I was going to write a CSV Uploader but, but its just as easy to tap it into mysqld and run it from there.

How did you deal with tag creation for wp_insert_post from the datafeed ?

I got bored of trying work out how I'd do it, and concluded I'd just create a few arrays for each category and select a random number of entries from the array of related to the category keywords and slam them in.

I use the wp-tag for the "brand" field of a csv file when i do mine

Im in the process of finishing off a WP theme pack with a built in csv importer under theme options, including lots of other goodies like carousel, 8 colour options, 1,2,3 column etc.
prob 2,3 weeks away.

Sorry fresh79, I should have been clearer, I mean selecting the keywords from the available fields.

I used brand, Category, and then title, and then ran a replace function to take out and/or/the/if/etc type short words from the title, before the replace for removing bad symbols and the likes. I like to have 3-6 tags per item to allow alternative search methods and of course a tag cloud.

Importing them seemed a hassle, I'm now thinking when I manually edit the feed, I may add keywords to each item, will be a time comsumer for bigger sites tho.

You would think since most of the end user affilates have tags on their own site, they would start to include them in the feeds.
