Football event domains can look attractive for short-term demand.

One old example: Worldcup-Soccer.com was reportedly bought for about $13 and later sold for $1,500.

But the risk side is hard to ignore. fifa.plus was listed for $3,999, and fifa2022.com was reportedly offered for EUR 150,000 before ending up in WIPO cases.

Would you stick to generic football / fan / travel / guide domains, or avoid event domains altogether?

.. hmm.. not really an seo domain.. yes, there are some backlinks to it, though, nothing serious.. + "soccer" is American English for "football"

Any obvious trademark like fifa is a hard no.

I have footballer in UK and co uk.not an event though, obviously.

I once regged russia2018tickets.com when it was announced, pointless

i had fifa.cm for a bit a few years ago. Got a bit of traffic, but realised that trademarks (which I didnt think it was when reg'd it) are generally a way to nothing but trouble.
