Hi ive recently started up in investing in domain names and ive already sent a few hours going through them all trying to find a decent 1 which isnt taken (as im sure you have done many of times) lol.

i have 3 questions to ask since im a newbie:

1. domain parking, sedo, google etc. you get paid per click yeh? im currently registered with sedo, what alternatives are the 2 sedo which are good for parking? with sedo if i dont reach the $20/month then sedo keep it which is abit shocking, is this value for just the 1 domain or is it if all domains together exceed that value?
which other popular sites are the which wont keep a penny? i read on a site somewhere of 1 but i forget the link.
Google adsense, whats this about $100, do i have 2 reach that until i keep some of it, if so thats more or less impossible as how am i going to get that many hits in a month.

2. if you create your own frontpage for the domain (starter page) what do you ad don it for pay per click? or will i have to use somebodys name servers?

3. whats got the more finance involved parking or selling? i know domains can sell for loads but which for somebody starting out is more financial rewarding?

hope somebody can answer my few noob questions :)

No, it is held by sedo until you meet the $20 minimum payout, once you reach it you get paid.

sweet, nice 1, ill try and find this other link somebody mentioned and post it, apparently you keep every penny and done pay a thing, also ive seen a domain auction site which happens every 3 months(you probs know what im on about).

is it any good for selling or is it abit of well it might sell and it might not?

Almost every parking/affiliate program has a minimum payout threshold, if they didn't they would no doubt be sending out wire transfers to people for £1.25 every month. I don't know of any reputable company that will keep your money if you don't make x amount per month.

Not sure which auction you're on about, if it's the Moniker one then you have no hope if you are just starting out as they only accept premium domains.

I suggest you read as much as you possibly can on this forum.

yeh ive just looked up affiliate programs on google, i read these allow you to type in whatever amout you like when somebody clicks a links, probably has a $1 limit or sumat but that looks good.

How much can you make with domain parking?

thats a site i read up on it.

im guessing them programs work in the same way as nameservers do but more lucrative, ill take a look into it and try finding a free one because affilitate programs ive found so far want me to pay to register

and try finding a free one because affilitate programs ive found so far want me to pay to register

Almost every well known UK company (Tesco, Comet, Currys, Debenhams, John Lewis etc) has an affiliate program and I can assure you not one of them you have to pay to join, they are all free.

ok so i sign up for 1 of these programs yeh, i just found 1 with lycos.

do i just create a page for my site or something and advertise there stuff?

and if i get good links then they pay me and if i dont get good links then they dont pay.

EDIT

ive figured it out, im with that tradedoubler but i dont yet know how it works, i think im meant to manually add the links to sites but im not sure.
