hence the word favour!

Blimey where do you start to reply to this?

Just about everyone has lost money on crap domains when starting out. There was no fairy godmother. You make a loss, you learn and you move on to better things. Someone bailing you out would not provide you with this valuable life and business lesson.

It would be like someone going to a casino and after losing some money, someone gives you the money back on the way out. Will you gamble again? Of course you will.

I think he's winding us up, It can't be real.

It's like backing a horse and trying to sell your ticket before the off.

It's like backing a horse, finding out that it's a three legged asthmatic donkey and then trying to sell your ticket.

From what I can see, only the last two posts tried to take the p*ss. I was one of them and I apologise for that, but I'm not too sure what reaction you were expecting when you asked people to buy your domains as a favour.

If you want some general advice about being successful at domaining:

- Look at past sales data.
- Read up on investment to get an idea of what kind of companies make money.
- Read up about internet success stories.
- Study historical threads on Acorn to see what sold well.
- Use the Google AdWords Traffic Estimator tool to gauge potential.
- Don't reg too many domains before trying to sell some of them. You learn a lot just by putting a name up for sale.
- Look at commissions being offered by affiliate networks to work out which sectors offer most potential.

Domaining isn't easy, but putting in the homework before going on a regging spree really helps.

the best thing is try and spend some time in domain sales section. observe what kind of names are having sales. you will get good idea. according to me short ie 4 characters, pronounceable and/or dictionary words are worth buying
