Anyone here with knowledge in football and decent writing ability? I could probably do this myself but am throwing it open to others. At first I'd just want one article, but if it fits the bills I'm open to a more regular arrangement. Get back to me by PM if interested. If you have examples of something you've written that would be great. Can pay £2 per 100 words.

Have you had much luck with this at those prices?

I think needing topic specific knowledge and wanting decent quality writing, you're never going to get someone reliable at £2 per 100 words.

Any time we've tried writers at that price point it has always ended badly. Best case being getting a few articles that are good to start with, then either quality and/or delivery schedules going to crap after that.

I have a couple of writers in that range who deliver.. but it depends on the topic at hand. If it's a topic that people gravitate towards naturally sometimes you can get people at those rates.

Monkey - that's true for many subjects, especially if research is required, but there is no shortage of people interested in writing about their actual interests - sports, film, music, games etc - because they enjoy it and it's less like work.

Sports coverage also tends to be fairly formulaic - with a bit of experience a writer can do a match report or preview very quickly. £10/500 words is a fair rate.

You won't get newspaper quality but unless you have a huge audience you probably can't justify professional journalist rates.

I have a few people working at that rate who might want more work, let me know what you're after and I'll send it on
