More for those that are followers of the Gtld Market. Ron at DNjournal has a nice Sales Update .(mostly .com sales) from the previous 12 months from one of the Major American Based resellers (being published in two Parts).

http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

I tend to Dabble in both so always interesting to get the Changing Comparisons over the years. Gtld still being very strong on 'Business Names' - Mind you Very good Generics Rarely come to Market and then only at Mind-blowing prices.

Some good .uk sales in there too:

TravelSmart.co.uk - $10,000 -was owned by Frank's company
Just10.co.uk - $8,500
Caballero.co.uk - $5,000 - was owned by Frank's company
DigitalCandy.co.uk - $5,000
OmniPro.co.uk - $4,500
RealMoney.co.uk - $4,500 - was owned by Frank's company
PinkEye.co.uk - $4,350 - was owned by Frank's company
JustCruise.co.uk - $3,000
BespokeHolidays.co.uk - $2,500
CentreOfExcellence.co.uk - $2,500
MeatFree.co.uk - $2,500
SmartAccount.co.uk - $2,500
TheFurnitureShop.co.uk - $2,175
EmploymentCheck.co.uk - $2,150
AnimalsMatter.co.uk - $2,000
LocalCleaners.co.uk - $2,000
JobScience.co.uk - $1,500
RunningEvents.co.uk - $1,500
SustainEnergy.co.uk - $1,500
LegalSense.co.uk - $1,250

I do wonder whether people selling through DNS were aware that their sales were going to be publicly reported.

"Frank's company". Some reading might think Frank who? It's not private email where everyone reading is certainly in the know. :)

Do you mean Frank Schilling or Frank someone else?

In Fairness - Atlas was just pointing-out 'Frank Schillings Ownership' of UK domains sales via his own Global Sales Platform at DNSales. I myself Refer to Ron Jackson at DNJournal, As Ron - And No I do not know him personally.
God help us if we have to start Explaining every term-of-(relative)reference as if Newbies at Domains let alone Acorn.

I didn't realise DNS sales would be reported tbh.

They did the same last year 2015 (previous 12 months of data)

Knowing a bit of Frank (Schillings) History - I'd personally be happy to list my top 50 domains there. There's Not many around that have a Good-Grasp of the Domain market - And lets face it Sedo is operated day-to-day by non (domain) aware operatives.

  • Net worth: $500 million USD (2016)

Not a bad looking Fellow either - God knows how he manages the Attention ;)

Is it Franks company who has the call centre / team in Manchester ? If it is, they are hard sellers and non-stop phoning and pushing, lots of pressure and always going for the big commissions. I know some ex staff who told me about it. I'm not surprised he's getting good numbers (if it is).

Cayman Islands to Manchester Base, Possible of Course. But, best You Slag With Positive ID - otherwise all 'Speculative Inferiors' will be at it

Is It ? X 1
If it is ? X 2

In one short paragraph tells me you don't have a Clue. .co.uk is hardly the base of this mans worth

I think it is, the Manchester Uniregistry branch! I have my portfolio on the Uniregistry Market at the moment, pondering on taking up their brokerage service and unleashing those hounds on my domains...

I'm sorry I haven't a clue what you are on about. Would you mind explaining? :)

How is it working out for you? What's your portfolio spread across gTLD extensions and ccTLD extensions?

I think someone were "tired and emotional" at 4am, which probably explains their turbulent history and troubled past.

For the record, it IS the same company, and their staff do work hard, if I needed a broker I'd def go there.

Yes Apologies skinner - I knew he operated from The Cayman islands (with .co.uk's as well) Thankfully I've never been hassled by them - Probably time to give Acorn a few weeks rest, all the best

99% .co.uk domains, about 400 of them. The portfolio management and enquiry tracking system is decent and extensive, if a bit sluggish. The biggest issue I have with it is the completely inflexible parking pages, I've not found any way to move off the standard page template:

PupilTracker.co.uk

With this template, you get all sorts of junk enquiries coming through. I think largely because of the way it's worded, people think they are going to get an instant quote there and then. I reckon about 5% of the enquiries I've had that I've responded to I've actually had a response back and entered negotiations (I don't know, maybe my opening price is always too high :D ). I'd much rather people are asked to make an offer as part of the enquiry, which is why I really like JMI's new DomainManage.com service (e.g. http://www.bassetts.co.uk ).

I imagine I'll end up using DomainManage for all my parking, but give the Uniregistry brokerage team a go (assuming you still can even if you don't park there).

I've just whacked a couple of domains in their brokerage yesterday ( although I have parked them there too ). Also have around 150 domains with domainmanage to test and am thinking of adding more. I got an offer for one domain on Friday ( not bad for only being on the domainmanage for less than a week ), only had 2 offers via Sedo in 12 months for the same bunch of domains.

If that offer turns into a sale I will update JMI's thread as a review for him and of course purchase one of his plans ( currently on free trial ).

Good stuff Adam, I'd be really interested to hear about your experience with the Uniregistry brokerage team. Do you know if it will be the Manchester team working for you? Are they UK domains?

To be honest I don't know who will be behind it this will be a first for me, I was going to give them a ring on Monday or Tuesday time permitting just to touch base. The domains I've put on there are a co.uk, .uk and two other TLD's of the same name so I'm going to ask them if its possible to bundle all 4 domains into sale unless they would advise otherwise.

Very interested in this discussion. Have all my domains with SEDO and have often thought of moving away. However, 2016 has been my best ever year for volume of domains sold reactively via SEDO.
