There are many free platforms out there, the value for them is the data they collect...

On the other hand, we have a platform where only the owner gets to see who bids on what names, and who loses out with smaller bids...

Hi Dee, For transparency reasons. Other Platforms are over complicated. A listing fee if this happens, a different listing fee if that happens, A percentage of final sale if if if... We all know were we stand if listing is free and zero commission. The option is always there to add a small fee for bold or something like that if the donations are scarce. But the platform will always be free to use.

The last screenshot is of a Marketplace listing from a visitors point of view, that has landed on the domain. If you are already on the flip platform you will see the normal menu etc.

I have updated screenshot above to latest versions.
Many new additions and I have finished the Wishlist which splits your wishlist item up into Auction and Marketplace items.

Sellers will have to have a verified status to list an auction as apposed to marketplace where you just need an account.

Auctions need approval before going live. Marketplace does not.

No edits on live auctions but unlimited edits on marketplace.

Is there not an irony in building a domain sales platform where one didn't own the .co.uk, or if you can't have the .co.uk and .uk pair, you at least have to have the .com. If you didn't own flip.uk would you be embarking on this project.. and what about flippa.com?

Are you using PHPPRObid ?

flip.uk is now open for testing.

You are now able to login and have a play. I will verify the test accounts as soon as I see them come in.
You can submit to Marketplace straight away but Auctions require approval (I will approve.)

I still have much polishing to do but the functionality is nearly there. Please report any "non styling" related bugs to me.

Feel free to submit a listing, Buy, Bid whatever... All listings data will be deleted after testing.

Added names to auction and marketplace.

Its a lovely platform to use, prefer it over dan, afternic, uniregistry, sedo, godaddy, domainlore.

Feedback:

• Fonts, spacing and different sectors melt a bit too much together
• Domain Marketplace - “Make Offer” buttons run over frames
• Domain marketplace - not sure if users need “Show Count Down“ button on this page. Auctions are also shown on marketplace page?
• Allow to show more than 80 domains on one page. 200 and over would be nice
• Didn’t figure out how does notifications works if you add a domain in your watchlist. Useful little helper.
• What function does checkbox have next to the user name?
• You don't have to show "Buy now" button to owners because if owner clicks on it "You are the owner of the listing.". Just remove the button or replace it ... number of views or smth.

I just happened to be playing around with this while you were on the site so you may have seen weird things jumping about. This should now look OK. The Max & Min price in the left had search block should now also display correctly? This didn't happen in any browser I have so maybe you could check this for me your end.

This signifies that the user is a verified seller. A user needs to be verified in order to sell anything. For demonstration purposes I have been manually applying this to users when they join.

Yes, One the main listings page I have made the price element good to show 6 figures and Also jigged around with really really long domain names
There maybe be other areas on the site that shows the price that will need to be adjusted to show 6 figures. I will correct as I come across them.

I do have a version parameter attached to the main css file so it should auto pull down the latest version but a Ctrl-f5 if not.

The bit that doesnt make sence at the moment is when you have to select "Domain Name" this is because eventually there will be other choices here. For example "WebSite"
I have the bare minimum fields needed to list in marketplace or auction.
I am working on a bulk lister that would be much easier to just upload

I certainly would. Something like an API or XML feed would be preferable if at all possible?

I am in the process of creating a new API that will give me the ability to do things much easier in future, so adding new platforms will be super easy.

It will also allow me to do things like having a dashboard of current domain auctions and list the same or similar domains, and how much they sold for, etc, linking to the source auction page.

I have a lot of ideas but limited time to execute them... don't we all.

This looks really good!

Just been playing with the "quick bid" option. I get the pop-up and can enter my bid, but if I'm lower than the current auto bid it tells me I've been beaten but it doesn't allow me to quickly add a new bid. You have to come out and start the process again, is this by design or can you allow a bidder to be out bid then type a new bid straight away, in the same way Ebay does? I feel if you allow a bidder to get into the excitment of a battle just by entering a new bid and hitting go they may spend a bit more cash while swept along in the moment
