I think with all the negativity on the forum at the moment some good news could maybe do the forum some good. On the 13th September this year I was two years sober and gamble free. (Yes I see the irony in posting in "The Bar"). I've had an interesting two years, learning a lot, leaving a job, starting a new job, starting a new business. I've also learned a lot about myself and developing myself away from drink and gambling. COVID-19 happening actually gave me a good chance to step back from all the hustle and bustle and concentrate on myself for a little while which has gone a long way. With all the progress over the past couple of years a nice reward came a few weeks ago when we bought our first family pet, welcome Frank to the forum (not named after you @domainseller200). If anyone has any questions or wants to reach out regarding anything feel free.
It can be good to share, we've all had our 'falls'...its about how you get back up. Well done, feel proud and onwards and upwards!
Congrats on getting through it all. And dogs make everything better. We got our first family rescue from Cyprus just as lockdown hit. It's one of the best things you'll ever do.
Well done, Aaron. You bring a lot of positivity to this forum. Frank looks like a wee border terrier. Incredibly loyal dogs. He'll bring a lot of joy to your family.
Nice job Aaron and keep it up. Hope your business acts as a focal point for you alongside the family... And cool dog!!!
As a refrainer from alcohol for 23 years I can tell you it gets better and better. And the pride that comes with will power stops you breaking your rule. Well done
Nice one, Aaron, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and are using it for the better now, and I'm sure you'll do well with your business venture to focus all your efforts on, good luck mate.
Well done, mate. I’m almost 3 years alcohol-free. Not because I was an alcoholic, but because when I turned 30 I realised I spent the last 10 years partying and had nothing really to show for it (except some great friends and awesome memories). Worth every minute, but I wanted to start a new chapter and focus on life. So I quit drinking and smoking - cold turkey, started a business and haven’t looked back since (well, occasionally look back on the good times!). Good luck for the rest of your journey.
