Currencies (why Dollars?)

Question for Namedrive (or anyone else who has relevant info).

Am I right in thinking that Namedrive only pay out revenue in US$? If this is the case, why, as they are a UK company.

Call me old fashioned but I prefer my payments in GBP, then I don't have to mess about with currency conversions when working out VAT etc. What a pain! GBP by wire straight into bank account would be a preferred option instead of messing about via PayPal. What would be the problem offering that?

You can select payments via bank account, its in the settings bit. But yep £ would be better. Maybe its because Google pay them in dollars.

Hi there,

We appreciate that the dollar is not the strongest at the moment and we would love to be able to pay out in GBP. The problem is that we are paid in GoogleDollars and would therefore be displaying inaccurate earnings stats if we displayed in GBP: We are looking to set up a UK bank for your payouts, but the thing I can only recommend is that you change to PayPal. We pay the fee, you get in dollars exactly what is in your account.
We are constantly looking into ways to get this sorted for our European customers as it is not ideal for either ND or our customers. Hopefully the Amerians will decide that maybe they would like their currency to show a bit of muscle.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the reply. My concern wasn't so much the strength of the currency, more the ease of handling for a UK based company. Look forward to day when there is a choice of currency.
