Got to get out of the group first, and the odds on being bottom of the group without winning a game are pretty short 6/4 last time I saw!

alarm went off early this morning as had to be up v. early
was having a really nice dream for a change

went back to sleep for 10 and had a nightmare we went out in group stage


thought about it over coffee when got up and we're all assuming we get out of group and have done the sensible 1-0 wins in friendlies twice
what with France being a really good side, ukraine are hosting it and I tell you now they will not go down without a fight
I actually can't see them not going at least through group becuase of the pride and support

also don't forget shevchenko is getting on a bit but he's as good a striker as england have ever had. one of the best ever
if he decided to give everything...........

sweden, I can only remember us beatin g them once in my lifetime
they are bloody hard to beat, always true professionals and have a couple of world class players
only good thing their keeper is out

all the groups are hard, ours is by no means one of hardest but the more I look at it, I'm scared

how can we assume we would beat any of the 3 teams??
normally ukraine you would assume. but not on their patch, different ballgame, literally

carrol could absolutely turn out to be a complete doughnut
my heart tells me he could be this big handful up front and just nod in goals every half hour
my brain tells me he is going to look like a clown

we could win games 1-0
but if teams score early gosal against us I'm not sure we have 2 goals in us lol

but same as rest of us, when the engkland v france game comes I'll be there crapping myself praying for us, believing we can do it

I can see Holland and Russia going a long way too. No firm predictions as such though. No expectations on England for once, which should make the whole competition more enjoyable regardless of whether we do any good .
