hard to look away from them

I think their hardest challenge could be qualifying from a group containing Germany, Denmark and Portugal, so I probably wouldn't go for a top scorer from one of those teams, but I think the two finalists could, as they can't meet again until the final.

Winner - Holland (Only if they top Group B)
Runner up - Spain (Easier route to the final)
Top Scorer - Torres (Might score a number in the group stages)
POTT - Robben (RvP seemed too obvious!)

am I the only one who finds it bizarre Russia are in the 'Euros' ?

At least they are partly in Europe, i find it more strange that Israeli teams are in Champions League

actually agree with all that tbh

although I know when I sit down to watch any england game will be bag of nerves hoping for success
having said that I know we're not good enough and players don't really deserve anything at all
they're not excited or passionate and out of touch with reality and people

I am very excited by Ashley Young though
watched some vids of him and didn';t realise what a brilliant player he is
and seems a really nice lad
may have a bet as him for England top scorer as Carroll may just be used as a battering ram lol and rooney out for first 2 games and I doubt we'll go far

Not going to give any predictions as I might jinx it

Really enjoyed the start of the Euros..No matter what happens, it will be good.

Tour de France and Euro2012 are the sport events I look forward to the coming months, for some reason I don't have any interest in the olympics and that's the feeling I get from a lot of friends.

also had poland ht and greece ft at an amazing 55-1 and that should have happened imho if you saw the game
referee was disastrous early on

also had russia straight win at 13/8 which was a huge price imo
should have gone russia ht ft tbh and got better odds

In years gone by so many other countries where unknown, small with many players being dairy farmers and bus drivers. Nowadays no team are easy. Russia played with flair tonight - and although they were playing a much weaker team - a kind of flow that Roy would be having wet dreams over.

England play with the least flair, imagination, flow or ability to string three passes together than any other nation I've seen recently. They play such a defensive game - but not by choice. Simply have no imagination or idea where any of their team mates are on the pitch.

Until England play France on Monday I'll still live in hope. It is a 'newer' side with a lot of new faces and I'm hoping we'll finally start playing with some passion (rather than a worn out bunch of players who can't wait to get kicked out to go and have the summer off), but a useless game against Norway and not much better against Belgium, feel I'm only patriotically optimistic.

Should be a good game tomorrow night though - Germany v Portugal!

france are the real dark horse in tournament
germany only got a goal in injury time too

If i was a neutral I would be backing france bigtime at 17/10 and bigger
but I'm not, so I can't back against england
I live in hope like the rest of us

portugal have best player in world in my opinion with ronaldo but team is not great, weak defensively
they have scored once in last 3 games and had to qualify
I think germany hammer them tbh

not germany ht ft but germany to WIN both halves, trickier but at 11/2 I'm all over that

also I rate denmark bigtime, look at their head to heads with germany over years too

holland are sublime but denmark will not give up

anything can happen end of day. germany are young side and almost over confident
they got beat 5-3 by swiss recently although were just playing around
portugal can beat anyone on their day as lots of goalscorers and flair but I really fancy germany
I fancy holland and germany over spain personally
