G ads

Google tears up the rule book for extremely large sites. The bigger you are, the more leeway they will give you.

I could be wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere that Google doesn't allow you to place more then 3 of their ads on one page? If so how do sites like this:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/160764252/54524911-Septimus-Severus-the-African-Emperor-pdf

get away with it?
You are right, you are only meant to have 3 adverts per page, however if you start getting the same amount of ad impressions a website like scibd.com does, I'm sure Google would be happy to let you display more ads, make them more money and of course profit a bit more yourself

I can only see 3 G ads on the page... 1 horizontal banner and two on the right.

The side banner isn't supposed to remain in view when you scroll the page. Scribd is definitely big enough to reach a custom arrangement with Google, so I'm sure it's "legit".

You can run more than 3 ads, for instance you can install 3 google ad codes, but then there are some companies like buysellads.com which have partnered with Google as well as 100s of other advertisers and once you run their code on your site, Google's ad for that specific area competes with other advertisers, that is how you can display more than 3 ads.

Also when you scroll down the text page you scroll past another 3 or 4 banners.

Thanks guys I better not push the boat out and just stick to my 3 g ads per page. I font want to get banned.
