Yes. There are a handful of tags using a flaw in the nominet system to catch contested domains.

no but some people do have more than one tag (many in a lot of cases). We know but nominet don't care apparenltly. Anyway that's a separate cheat. If you are not utilising multiple tags or software to take advantage of the crappy nominet flaw.. you won't get this domain.

Domeinwinkel were caught cheating. I know because I spent several months collating data on them which I forwarded to nominet. Nominet phoned me and confirmed they were cheating and they would be reprimanded. Nothing happened however. Go figure. So we have to assume that other people are also slipping by unnoticed.

Just understand that as a normal tagholder under nominet's 'level playingfield' you have NO CHANCE of catching a valuable domain. However members of this forum who are multitaggers (who I will call out later) will always get the valuable domains 'between' them.

I remember the cheat which I have reported to you a few months ago when you were gathering information to forward to Nominet, still happening till now which indicate Nominet simply don't care as you said.

Yep they don't care. And funnily enough when I asked them to not release uk domains on the epp/dac system because it would be abused by a handful of tags they said 'if we find registars abusing our system we will take appropriate action' ROFLMAO
The EPP/DAC is way more unfair to the majority than the system it replaced. About time nominet dropped the AUP anyway.

Dont understand why they dont just fix the flaw and allow only a single tag per individual and even the playing field? Surely it would spark more interest in the UK space? Whats the use of trying to catch a valuable UK domain if we know there is no chance of catching it? I have noticed over the last 2 years that only certain TAGs catch all the valuables, surely not coincidence, and now I understand why.

My old man became a tag holder a few years after me, didn't think anything of it at the time, I guess we didn't read the T&Cs properly! Anyway, Nominet caught wind within months and combined our quotas. So they do take action when they see fit.

I'm placing my bets on DTDOMAINS, they seem to be the ones I've seen in my failure notifications the most in the last couple of months.
