Multiple tags per registrar

I was looking though the acceptable usage policy for the EPP.

One of the points... "If exceeded, all tags for that registrar will be blocked..."

How can a registrar have multiple tags? And what is the maximum number of tags?

And if each tag can have up to six simultaneous connections, then one registrar can have lots more chances of registering a dropping domain?

The answer is yes, Nominet allow members to apply for additional tags - most folk involved with dropcatching have found ways to get them under the same membership. Nominet have now however applied a 'traffic warden' type approach to members asking for additional tags and looking for reasons to say 'No'

so how do you go about applying for multiple tags?
