With everything said though and Luke77 being weeded out, the bidding should have 100% went back to the bidding prior to him getting involved e.g. £760 -- Buyer5 -- 21-07-2019 -- 18:38:28.
Well in most cases the only time you see that kind of action is if someone is shill bidding, however, Phil is a genuine guy so i can't see that being the case! So the only other conclusion would be someone wanting to disrupt the auction..

Surely it would have been better to extend this until tomorrow what if Luke's an end user out of the office until tomorrow say.
Or is it sure this guys just someone messing with domainlore
As a guess, I would say bid from Luke77 was to reveal the highest offer. Why, is another question. We now know with some confidence the amount required to win the auction.
Well done Denys for maintaining integrity of the platform.

Some people open fake accounts to run the price up on own auction ( NOT IN ANYWAY SAYING THAT WHAT HAPPENED HERE) COuld also be someone trying to bad rep DL. Site has been attacked recently apparently.
I think Deyns is pretty hot at spotting any shill bidding and anyone who gets caught attempting to do this gets banned, which is not so good if use DL a lot to auction your domains, which is why I think it is quite rare for it to happen and I would suspect only attempted by naive newbies.
