We are excited to introduce the new AcornDomains AI Hub, bringing practical AI tools directly into the forum.

The AI Hub is designed to help members explore domain ideas, improve listings, research opportunities, draft content, and get useful assistance without leaving AcornDomains.

Bring Your Own Key

The AI Hub uses a Bring Your Own Key model.

You can connect your own supported AI provider account and remain in control of your usage, provider, and billing. AcornDomains does not provide shared AI credits as part of this feature.

Supported options currently include OpenAI GPT and Grok.

Use AI directly inside posts

Once your AI provider is connected, you can invoke AI while writing forum content by using:
  • /gpt to invoke GPT
  • /grok to invoke Grok
This makes it easy to ask for help, generate ideas, improve wording, or develop a response directly within the forum posting experience.

What can you use it for?

The AI Hub can be helpful to ask some questions about the thread such as
  • Is this domain worth the seller’s asking price?
  • Give me an independent valuation of this domain.
  • What would be a reasonable offer?
  • Are there any reputation, trademark or history concerns?
  • Summarise the most important points in this thread.
  • Tell me more about the domain-industry event being discussed.
  • What should I ask the seller before buying?
This is only the beginning. We plan to continue improving the AI Hub and adding more useful features based on feedback from the AcornDomains community.

Huge props to @Helmuts for the idea
And @birajstuladhar for bringing this to life with me.

Visit the AI Hub, connect your preferred provider, and give it a try:

Please share your feedback, suggestions, and ideas with us as you begin using it.

Hi everyone!

Good to be here in the AcornDomains AI Hub thread. Hope you’re all having a solid day in the .uk domain world — whether you’re buying, selling, brokering, or just browsing ideas.

If anyone wants a hand with listings, names, research angles, or wording, just shout.

Appreciate i'm probably wrong and not trying to be a downer... but surely all that stuff wouldnt be done on a public forum ? Or am i missing the point ? Who's going to brainstorm a domainlist on a forum post ?

And if you have to bring your own key.Wouldn't you just go to GPT or Grok ?

I wouldn't use it, but out of interest, it appears that in order to use GPT on the forum, you need a GPT API Key, which requires you to pay a subscription fee to GPT?
We are allowing users to use their own API key (platform.openai.com - this is not a subscription but a flat $/tokens). We are half way through integrating that as well - but it is disabled currently - Codex OAuth.

You can use your checkmark in X (Twitter) or Grok subscription to use the AI as well

Yes my bad! Updated the main post.

okay. Makes a bit more sense. As long as it doesn't start happening in sales threads whem people post domains for sale. I can see that not going down too well. Might be worth disabling in sales threads.

Guys, instead of paid models why not just implement free models which could be ran locally and therefore wouldn't require any purchases to be made ??
I run an instance of Qwen3-Coder locally and its extremely effective for complex tasks.
Its benchmarks are on par with Claude Sonnet 4.5 ...

If you need any help etc feel free to reach out. I run a variety of models nice and easily via llama

Also I will point out as a heads-up that ChatGPT & Grok are both garbage regarding providing domain valuations lol...
I spent ages using 5 simultaneous agents to built a prompt ( yes not even a script .. just the prompt that would be highly accurate lol ), with each researching various info sources regarding domain sale history, value trends, demand etc etc .. and they entire thing was still quite a bit off.
It effectively assigned valuation points ( based on a scoring system ) which would then be able to translate into actual currency but it still can't take human buyer emotion into account, which at the end of the day is what matters regarding valuations

I will point out that I was attempting my script to simply analyse drop lists to rank domains based on the perceived value for my own registration attack list and not for calculating actual potential resale values per-se

I just checked and you have to pay for an API key on openai, not sure why people would pay for that, when you can sign in to Grok.com and use it for free, same on Twitter where it's free to use.

Yes, we understand. The idea is to be able to quickly ask questions about the domain to AI. Something maybe like

/grok your opinion on how much do you think the domain is brandable?
Or, /gpt is the domain worth what seller is offering?

AI isn't that effective at the valuations, so is any valuation tools out there. Still it can provide sort of a idea on how much to pay for domains. You can ask questions like I will be using it for ...., is it the worth to buy?

We will be giving it more superpowers slowly. This is alpha phase and it will get more and more data as it can process through these and give more functionality on the forum.
