I hate to be a copycat but Frank ran such a great auction/sale of his portfolio and it might work for my set of names too, giving some people the chance of a bargain on some names and some of my sites that I'm finally giving up.

I'm looking to raise (reduced) £28,000 in few weeks to pay off a few things and add to a house deposit.

Here are a couple of reasons why I think the list of names is worth much more than £28k:
    • The list contains many sites which have been decent earners in the past (morecambe, londonstudent, virtualnorwood... have earned xxxx each over the years from adsense/banners/sponsored posts etc.)
    • Many prime generics/names (holy, bowl, issues, poses, jemma)
    • Some great geos (Morecambe, Paddington, Garstang, and 100 London suburb names (Euston Square, Oxford St, SJW - St. John's Wood, etc., I've sold many of these in the past for a standard £500 each some at £2000, Paddington obviously worth more)
    • Great 2 letter domain "IU" is in the list
    • I think every co.uk name in the list comes with the .uk rights, but please check

Many of the names and sites in the list have cost me x,xxx and most of the websites have had significant development time. The sites aren't earning much at the moment, I let some of them slip, didn't keep up with SEO and they need some TLC to bring them back. I don't have all the stats for traffic/revenue but what I said above is completely true (morecambe, londonstudent and virtualnorwood have each earned thousands over the years

As with Frank's previous auction there are a couple of outcomes with this:
    1. As soon as the total of the bids reaches £28,000 the auction/sale ends
    2. The total can be reached by 56 bids of £500, 100 bids of £280, or a complete mix.
    3. As in the original auction, if the balance is on £27,500 with no bids for "iu.co.uk (with iu.uk included)" then if someone bids £500 for iu.co.uk (and iu.uk) the auction is over and they grabbed themselves a bargain.

    Rules
    • All names have a min starting price of only £5 to get them going.
    • Bid increments of £5 up to £100, then increments of £25 beyond that, feel free to jump by bigger amounts!
    • No name will be sold or transferred unless the total of all the bids on all of the domains reaches the £28k target.
    • If you make a bid then you do so with the understanding that you are committing yourself to buy the name if and only if the target of £28k is reached by the end date/time.
    • The end date/time is Friday 22 Aug at 8pm GMT, with any bids on any domains within 10 mins of the end time, extending the whole auction by 10 mins. Effectively the whole thing ends when there have been no bids for 10 minutes.
    • Depending on how close to the target the bids get after this has finished - I will share the BINS with the highest bidder on each domain giving the first right of refusal.
    • Buyers pay the transfer fees and are encouraged to check the whois data for expirations and the right to the .uk which I think all listed .co.uks have

Hopefully this takes off and I get a few bids - if so I'll keep the Google sheet updated here with the domain list and highest bid on each domain/site along with the running total at the bottom.

Any questions? Please email me at matt@iu.co.uk (my pm box is always full)
Thanks for taking a look and don't forget to visit the Google Sheet to see current high bids.

    Matt

Thanks for getting it started Skinner - I just updated the sheet.
Jemma.co.uk and .uk are together as one (I removed the .uk from the sheet for consistency, but a bid on the .co.uk will get you the .uk)

In fact Jemma was the only domain that I exercised the right to the .uk, all others will be transferred with the right (if they have it which most do).

    Thanks for the bids.

The total is almost 10% of the way to the target with only a few bids which is great!

    I updated the Google Sheet.

(@deluxdomains, j4md0nut had already bid £300 for sjw)

Thanks - all bids updated in the sheet.

I think it was 300. But the memory of me waiting for the 3-4 week transfer, while you were sipping mojitos in your back garden and taking selfies is one hard to forget.
