Hi DJ,

your absolutely right, its not apparent and probably a new way of bifdding.

Issue was on how to balance and eliminate the frauds, if we leave it open, then almost immediately, users are fly bidding, something we were plagued with years ago.

So on this site, a user can get authority to bid in two ways :

1. If you are known to us, we will credit you with bid money, once complete and you have a win, the system will invoice you, thats it.

2. If you are not known to us, you can only bid by crediting your account, you can of course withdraw it at any time.

Commission to us is only based on a sale. If your a seller, theres no restriction on making auctions, and no charge, however, you are verified on ownership or authority to sell, in any event, a seller doesnt get paid until the domain has been released.

The auction time can be set to anything, so if you want a long term park and the chance of catching a bidder, make it a year or so.

In addition. we have linked the auction to our backorders dynamically, you will see aution buttons on all the backorder pages, plus, you can make a direct offer or BIN without ever going to the site.

It would also be helpful / useful (to me at least) instead of just linking to the general auction page from here - you link to the individual auctions like the DL and Flip auctions...

Yep, can do that, just didnt want to flood everyone as they are added pretty quickly

currently, if you book a domain with us thats the same as others have booked and we catch it, the domain then enters a private auction for the participants only to battle out, its not public, but the winner can choose to list it with us or anyone else.if they wish.

This of course makes the software pretty tricky as its all bespoke, but we have just finished the re write and its pretty straight forwards now with the auction part now integral, and the backorders placed are entirely isolated from public (and other bookers) view.
