Does redirecting domain traffic, (type in & old site links) affect the site it is directed to in a good or bad way?
Which is the best way to redirect traffic? All pointing to one domain and then onto the site or individually?

Thanks in advance..

Depends what you're using - remember, each page address has its own url.

if you want to transfer the juice from one site to another, you're best off moving the pages to the new site and setting up a 301 for each page you had originally. Then you gradually replace/refresh/renew the content.

If you pick up an old domain with traffic and backlinks, work out what the old page titles were and 301 those individually to appropriate pages on your target site.

If you don't have a clue, 301 the domain to the index page and hope ...
