I have recently updated an old website with many quality links pointing to it, whilst also at the same time shifted to HTTPS..for some reason I cannot understand, the website has plummeted in the search results (after an initial gain). I have checked google analytics, google webmaster and cannot see any issues...
Strangely enough, all the backlinks that used to point to the website are no longer shown on google webmaster, it's almost now seen as a brand new website completely (even though proper 301 redirects were added)..hopefully correctly.
Which is why I need someone who is very knowledgable in this field to be able to assess what could be causing the issue.
Strangely and more recently..the website was number 1 for its main keyword on Bing..when all of a sudden with no changes my side it literally became unverified .. there was no message or no sign of why this happened..the website is now no longer indexed at all on bing.
