Wanted: Service web designer recommendations?

Looking for a Designer & Coder for a project.

Need the website designed and coded so it can take credit cards via google checkout(all on-site) and a forum customised to fit into the site design, along with a few other things. Possibly a logo also.

Sorry I disagree I think there website looks awful, and they are using out of date techniques + not SEO friendly, and there portfolio is basically a couple of pretty poor designs used over again with slight changes. (My opinion)

The frightening thing is if you look at the contact page he says he is almost fully booked for 2009!

, phew glad you were being sarcastic! but can you believe he is nearly fully booked for 2009, just goes to show that there are clients out there that are impressed with his portfolio, maybe I should move to Devon?

Granted the designs are very basic but I wouldn't say they weren't SEO friendly.

Granted there is certainly lots of relevant text on that site, there is no h1 tag though, this is quite important for google indexing.

Also all the layout is done with tables, tables are not really supposed to be used for layout unless it is tabular data.

My comments were made in relation to what turned out to be sarcastic comments, design is subjective, but i have taught myself semantic, standards compliant, well structured (x)html, some people aren't really bothered about this and just want a cheap job, but if sites are built properly they are more future proof when browser versions are updated, and in the long run it will save the client money.

Have to agree with you there but their URL structure is excellent. Something I find a lot of designers tend to ignore.
