WP archives

I'm new to wordpress and would like to know, Is there a way to "Turn Off" Archives ? I mean totally disable the Archive feature so absolutely nothing gets archived ?

Not sure about being able to turn them off - I use the Meta Robots WordPress plugin which disables them from getting indexed which can cause duplication problems.

Thanks, found that plugin earlier though haven't tried it yet, was hoping for a way to remove / disable archives totally.
