I would like to point just www a record from nameserver keeping all other dns including pop under my host. How and can this be dont? I totally hate the look of forwarded addresses but have a need to keep control of the dns.
Hope this makes sense

You'll need to use someone like ZoneEdit.com to manage your DNS. You'll need the host name of the web server at ND then create a CName to point your www. to it and similar steps for your pop3 etc. Might be a challenge.

Good luck

Had already tried pointing * and WWW to 206.130.11.xx (Namedrive NS1) which produced an error. So giving the webserver 216.8.177.xx a try when DNS updates.

When I asked Ed, i was told to use any of the following:

216.8.177.25
216.8.177.26
216.8.177.27
216.8.177.28

Dont point to an Ip address via an A record, actually use NS records as if you are parking the whole domain.

NS & webserver, both error saying namedrive server wont accept
Time to use the horrid frames. Only good thing about this method is getting more traffic stats than you would from parking alone.

Hi purg,

216.8.177.28 should work for you. Have you tried this one?

Only need it for one of the domain which is used for my main email address.
Just updating dns, will update later......

Before I used x.x.x.27 which failed. Thanks 28 works a treat. First domain to make anything and was getting worried.

Cheers
I now need better PPC and sustained traffic :p
