Good evening,

I thought you'd be interested to know that I picked up a LLL here last year for £50 and since sold both .co.uk and .uk - the .co.uk to a SME in defence research, the other (who took the .uk) a large UK railway that does about 500mil pa and just had a billion pumped in revenue... no guessing who there...

Ironically the SME started with a £200 offer and the railway £45 - railway hid behind a large corporate identity / brand management company so there was no way to know where it would end up, this was the same for my sale to Travis Perkins (electric-city.co.uk) and Burtons foods (jammydodger.co.uk) and freerangeeggs.co.uk (John Bowler - largest free range egg producer). Anyway the point is big corp was desperate for the LLL.uk, so maybe just maybe there is something on the horizon if the ip/brand agencies are pushing for it.

I read it as 5 figs, but perhaps thats in total rather than each sale. Whatever, it's good news!

Sure. He sold or will sell or probably sell in near future that jabmybudgerordogersomething.co.uk for £250,000.

What if he meant Jammydodgers. co.uk ? That redirects to buttons. Just a thought, would be good to know if it was a true transaction. I assumed it was.

Why would a builders merchant like Travis Perkins buy a domain like electric-city.co.uk?
