Thanks diablo updated
Repent.co.uk - £40
Thanks Susannah, updated. Only a few hours left now.
Last 45 mins
I will extend this until 11AM tomorrow morning. Any bids made after that time will not be counted. This is because I chose a terrible time to end an auction
£35 corsa.co.uk since I have the .uk
Good thing with the extension, I wasn't watching last night...
Ok, we're all done here.
Susannah - £40 for repent.co.uk
Webber - £35 for corsa.co.uk
Can you both PM me with your invoicing details. Payment via BACS
Poor form IMHO to extend an auction end time after the auction has already finished.
Your opinion has been noted. Since it was midnight and everybody was asleep, I don't think it's poor form at all to give people a small chance in the morning to get their bids in. But you can't please everyone
Should at least give atlas and webber a chance to bid more. I’d feel the same if I was atlas.
I really don't understand the issue. The auction was extended 11 hours, in my opinion, that's plenty of time for people to get bids in, regardless of timezone.
The issue is clear. You can't extend an auction half an hour after it has finished.
Ok, well since it was my auction, I’m pretty sure I can do what I want
If you missed your chance diablo and you’re mad about it, perhaps sleep less? 11 hours is a long time. No amount of “reactions” from members of this community who didn’t bid on any of these names is going to matter to me. I extended the auction as, in hindsight, it ended at an unusual time. You can have your opinion, but the solution is simple. Don’t bid on my auctions.
@Ben Thomas - i do agree extending by 11 hours is a bit extreme because it looks like the auction was extended in order to get a higher price for the domains and basically disregarding the highest bidders at the time, if this was an auction platform it would not have been allowed.. The end time is an end time (maybe 10-15 mins if there is a bid war but certainly 11 hours is unprecedented)
It was 11 hours because the majority of the users on this forum are from the UK and at 12 AM-9 AM the majority of people are asleep my thinking was that it would give people an extra 2 hours or so to get bids in. And yes, of course, I wanted people to bid to a higher price that's why it's an auction, but this wasn't my motive. As seen with Webbers comment, he was not around to bid higher until the morning at 10:55 AM. Either way, I'm the auction house in this instance and I made the decision to extend it based on extenuating circumstances, which I believe was the right thing to do.
Note to self: Remember to update your list of people to avoid doing business with.
Well, thank you. I guess it would be rude of me not to extend you the same courtesy.
For obvious reasons I'm closing this thread down. Think we know where we all stand. Form your own judgments but no point in this thread descending into further antagonism.
