i thought there was a £10 transfer fee for uk domains, and the free push would not give you complete ownership

I never paid for any push for a .co.uk.....so thats news to me.....

Pushing a .uk domain name does not change the ownership, the only way to do it is via Nominet with transfer forms. ANything you've pushed or been pushed in the past will be legally owned by the previous owner.
