Registered 3 of them today:

www. filibuster .co.uk (60,000 exact results)
www. heybabe .co.uk (8,100 exact results)
www. phpdesigner .co.uk (12,000 exact results)

What do you think?

Thanks! :D

I think heybabe is probably the best of the bunch, maybe suitable for some sort of dating site.

phpdesigner is ok but the terms php and designer don't really go together but it might be a niche for designers that actually know php.

Rgds

Actual exact UK figures are.

filibuster 1,300
php designer 390
hey babe 390

I think maybe you need to figure out to use the keyword tool before you register & promote domains?

"Results are tailored to English, United Kingdom"
"Match Type: Exact"

Regards

I wish everyone would adopt this standard so we're all singing from the same sheet. Perhaps it should be explained in a 'sticky' somewhere?

Agreed, having recently got in to the game, it took me a while to catch on.

And even when you use the UK tool, and select exact, there is still a big question over how accurate these results are.

but if thats all we have to go on then its all we can quote.

what makes people dispute the figures? or is that a separate thread?

I think that there are a few threads that give examples of the weirdness.
Like exact figures being higher than broad. Or Americanisms appearing high on UK local results. Sometimes the wierdness is obvious, but personally it makes me question them all.

I still use the tool. The more information the better. Yahoo's Overture tool was good while it lasted, and I think there are still other tools like google trends (trends rather than volume figures) and other seo tools which estimate search volume.
