A new sort of Drop Catching

Has anybody else notice that a large number of suspended domains are not making it as far as dropping?

Looking at the TAGS they go to, it seems that an increasing number of catchers are contacting the registrants and buying the domains, before they drop.

I'm not complaining, it's a perfectly good tactic, if you have the time and money.

Yeah, it's certainly increased in the last few months.

Thinking outside the box to beat the eggheads (or the cheats, depending on your viewpoint )

Moving upstream can guarantee acquisition; catching quality names is a 'degrading' strategy.

Contacting the old registrant is always a good idea......

Would it be possible for the registers to auction them off ?

How can the register transfer it without the registrant signing a transfer or surrender form ????

even reading the posts from this forum alone would lead anyone to avoid the investment in drop catching software and hardware required just to fight the monopoly certain players have and try another method of the getting the domains they want.
