I'm currently running a website, which is getting a fair amount of traffic. I don't know how much, because I use 3 different methods of tracking and they all say completely different amounts!

Anyway, I have a 500mb monthly package, shared account, which I run 4 domains off, I ran through 50mb yesterday (I had a big day advertising), obviously I will run out, so it's time to upgrade.

The next package on the site I use xdnet.co.uk, is £7 a month, for twice the bandwidth, my question is this.

I'm currently not making money off my traffic, I have added in a Google Ad, right at the top centre, but I never really seem to profit, will getting more traffic earn me more, if I spend more on bandwidth...

i.e, should I upgrade.

Let me know thoughts/experience. cheers.

Welcome back to the forums King Colon ;)

Firstly, where's the traffic coming from? It's probably poor quality making it even more difficult to get Adsense clicks. There is plenty of information out there on optimising Adsense positions, colours etc so I'll leave that for you to look up.

Secondly, how will you run out exactly? Assuming you're on the £4/month package at the moment then you have 50gb bandwidth. Your usage at 50mb x 30 days = 1.5gb

Cheers for the help :)

I don't know what you mean WP... (shifty eyes)

Also that was a complete maths error on my part, you are right. Better go back to A levels then...
