Why is no one buying .ae domains? one of the fastest growing parts of the world and loads of domains un registered?

Very strange?

Will you be able to keep the domain if local public or business organisation decide that they want it? Is there dispute resolution service in place? These and other questions you need to ask yourself before investing in exotic tlds.

You are not allowed to buy .ae domains for resale. Same goes for .qa and other TLDs.

Transfers of registrant are allowed within certain circumstances, like transferring ownership of a business.

So what about the guy who bought and sold luxuarycars.ae for 10 Million Euros he did it (Resold)

How can they take the Domain off you if its registered?

Thanks for the replies

Am I reading this right? To register a domain you need to fill out an application form, then a payment authorization letter, then fax this info to UAE along with a copy of your ID card/passport? If so there's your answer.

I doubt this sale is confirmed and really took place. What is your source ?

That being said, rare sales can be found in pretty much any extension. I have seen a big .dk sale one day, but .dk are not supposed to be sold either. Each TLD is different and has its own peculiarities.

And don't go registering the likes of 'milfbanging.ae', as unlike the current offensive words consultation for .uk, over there the decision will be a little bit of 'direct action'.
