Wouldnt say they where good but these are popular. Kelkoo, Dealtime, Eopinions etc.

there are loads of affiliate sites around and new ones pop up daily, as accelerator said pop over to a4uforum.co.uk and read some posts.

I produce directory sites which incorporate some affiliate links to the right of the information, check them out below :

Thanks guys. I don't want to copy, I have a site half done already. Just interested in the linking and navigation. Just wasn't sure whether to have straight through links to the merchant or to make them fancy or use a database?

The good thing about having a db or any central location for affiliate links ie any kinda redirct is that if you put an affiliate link in lots of locations (ie pages or other sites) and you need to change the link ie merchant changes code, wanna change to a different network, or wanna change to a different merchant etc etc.. then you only need to change the one link not thousands as it could be.

Its a good idea to do it. One day you will be glad you did.. that will be the time you spend two days changing links

do you all use pay per click then to get your search engine rankings higher? does it take long to make the sites profitable?

what about sites like this- i'm suprised the aa lets them do it, as they blatently look like the aa but aren't.

I personally only very rarely use PPC, I prefer to rely on natural SEO.

There are some affiliate marketers that use PPC very effectively, an example would be this guy:

PPC has the advantage that you can respond very quickly to the latest trends, and you can guarantee positions - you aren't subject to any Google dances. Make sure you set your daily budgets and have reliable hosting though!!
