Aggressive email

Just received an aggressive email reporting me to an American state organisation for what I assume is spamming. They said there has been thousands of complaints about me and to remove them from my lists.

News to me. I never email anybody re marketing etc.

It could be a domain name with a historical marketing list that redirects to my site I guess but unlikely.

Would you even bother replying?

ps there are no links in their email

You can check spam blacklists.

It's relatively easy to spoof emails if you aren't using authentication settings like DMARC.
