My view is simple.

I have a very varied portfolio and my approach to domains is 'churn and burn'... Let others speculate....

I appreciate domain sellers want to make a profit, offering wholesale prices gives them an ability to churn themselves whist awaitng sales.

Also, over time, I have managed to source a number of collectors out their who, just like stamp collectors, want a name just because... or it ties into their particular interests...

Take mkney.com (typo money) recently went to a collector of currency in the US who in turn, has connections with other collectors.

If you did a whois search, you will find it has already changed hands a number of times since I registered it less than 6 weeks ago.

If a domains value rises over 100% from the price I registered it at, subject to finding a higer offer, it's an obvious sell in my book.

Offering it to an open market gives me one last chance to squeeze that last drop. Usually, I already have an offer on a name by the time I've posted 'taking offers' on the 'open market'.

Aside from that, most generic names, I keep. High traffic and typo names I keep. But, I'm always open to offers at very reasonable prices.

PM'ed you Re: recent disposals.
