If you’re only doing an affiliate type site not a great name . There are lots of better names out there unregged especially with the me and org .uk types not sure about them myself but seen you have a few might want to think about these… all free to reg...

You don't want to associate yourself with an organisation that rips people off by paying 50p per gram for 9ct scrap gold when the going rate is £7.60+

Apart from getting a bad name you're getting paid peanuts.

I think a better approach might be to get your site ranking as high as possible and then approach some genuine dealers re a referal scheme.

I've got one discussing using mine for a 1% cut of turnover (they work on very low margins) which might sound poor, but he reckons they'll easily do £25k per week, and I know others that routinely do £50K a day.

what value would you say the name has on its own? it was one of those impulse buys as most other extentions have gone.
would like a quick turnaround on it if poss, as long as i make a small profit im not bothered

The extension lets it down in my opinion, OK for development because of the Key-word "Gold" but not much value on the resale market, dashu1 advice is good, its a road I am pursuing right now. Develop it.

You've got to remember that genuine scrap gold dealers are working on a p*ss poor 2-3% margin after costs, so there isn't much room for affiliates or other schemes.

New gold jewellery on the other hand has a massive mark up - maybe your iGold might be better aimed at that.
