There seems to be a dearth of reliable devs. My clients are always asking me if i know anyone. Do i know anyone here? Current requirement is for someone who can fix a wordpress slider that isnt working since we moved from php 7.3 to 7.4 because the custom theme has some old deprecated js libraries (i think!).

Ta.

Ongoing work potential for anyone reliable!

Are you sure its a PHP deprecitation and not Jquery Migrate ?. To test the theory

Install this and set it to legacy to see if it fixes it : https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

if it does then it will be a temp fix until you get the theme fixed properly.

I don't have any availablity to take anything else on at the min or next few months, but if the above helps then great.

To blow my own trumpet, I'm an excellent developer :) Though my skills are way more in making huge fast databases usable and SEO'd for sites that run content at scale (think those comparison sites where you're looking for a service in a given town or city). Oh, and geospatial fun with that too - if you've got data with coordinates, I can do quite incredible analysis, maps is the least of it!

Compatibility with other recently upgraded plug-ins or conflict with rules in a custom functions file (if there is one)?

A simple disable/enable process will usually flush out the culprit.
