Any gmail experts, 1/2 million spam emails today problem

Well its been over an hour and gmail is still deleting my spam.

Is there any way to have gmail delete spam every day and not every month?

I now see after receiving over half a million emails today in 70,000 gmail threads, that adding my email address to a vps wanting to be notified of failed log in attempts was the wrong thing to do lol

The 10,000 a day average was ok to manage, but this is taking forever, any help appreciated.

Pretty sure you can't change the frequency for spam deletion. Can you not do a search and delete all?

I started the delete all at 11pm and its still deleting.

I was hoping the frequency could be changed to daily, just in case I get a couple of days on the run like this.

Ahh yes I know that feeling. I have an account just for cron reports that fills up the 16gb every once in a while. I have to delete the whole thing which takes a fair ole while! Good luck

Using this it will take you probably 5 min to get your inbox back to sanity again.
