Anyone else being hit with password reminders etc ?

Has there been a big data breach anywhere recently ? I systematically getting password resets from most of my big accounts... ebay and the like. And quite a few password reminders i didnt ask for. SCanned my laptop and no problems ( im on a mac) They did manage to nick my sons fortnite account ( hes on my email) although no idea how as you have to get a code to change email address. Which they did.

Worrying because I got the code emailed to me and 30 secs later a change of email confirmation.

This has been on off 24 hours now. The IP seemed to be Italy

I've not received anything like this, though do very occasionally receive password reset emails I didn't request. I'm sure you've already done this, but it sounds like it'd be a good idea to change your email password and enable two factor verification if it isn't already. Also, maybe that that nothing within the account is giving permissions to an app you don't know about or forwarding your emails anywhere else. I only say that on account of your Fortnite comments.

Hi. Yep. Changed all passwords. And use various for extra secure and then different for less important anyway. I also have 2FA on everything I can (which is why im suprised they got fortnite account....thought i did) Not worried about anything important... just miffed they got it.

It's good that you're already so security minded, so hopefully that mitigates much of the risk. The Fortnite issue is perplexing, but maybe there's some kind of weakness or workaround their side that allowed this change to happen. I'd say as long as no other account manages to be moved away you've limited the damage they have done. These things are always a bit disconcerting. Nowadays, I have a mind boggling number of complicated passwords stored in my password manager! Many years back I just had one though!

Nice one. I use KeePass. It's an offline program, pretty basic but holds all of my passwords and has a good search feature, which is handy with the number of accounts I have! Just don't forget your master password :-D

Yep.Cheers. Ive used that before and changed all my passwords immediately after !
