Anyone seen Adsense styles as heavily customised as these?

there seems to be a load of google related stuff in css file.... didnt think you could do that

Code:
.google .title {
    font-size: 15px;
    color: #C0392B;
    font-style: italic;
    text-decoration: underline;
    letter-spacing: 1px
}

.google .title-section {
    margin-bottom: 4px
}

.google .ad-content {
    margin: 0 0 10px
}

.google .ad-text {
    margin-bottom: 2px;
    padding-right: 5px;
    font-size: 12px;
    display: inline-block
}

.google .url {
    color: #333;
    text-decoration: underline
}

.google_inline .ad-text {
    display: inline
}

#google-article-block {
    background: none;
    margin-bottom: 2em;
    padding: 0
}

#google-article-block .google {
    letter-spacing: .05em
}

#google-article-block .google .label {
    margin: 0;
    display: block;
    padding: 0
}

#google-article-block .google .label a {
    color: #000;
    margin: 0;
    display: inline
}

#google-article-block .ad-content {
    border-bottom: 1px dotted #ccc;
    margin: 0;
    padding: .75em 0 0 0;
    line-height: 1.8em
}

Adsense has more than one tier. If you have over a certain number of impressions a month (I think it used to be 10,000,000) then Google lets you do all sorts of nice stuff that regular sites can't, like serve more ad units per page, customise the appearance/style, etc.

It's called "Premium Adsense". However, the obvious page is 404 on Google's site, so maybe they've hidden the programme a bit more than it used to be, and are only dishing it out behind the scenes now (it's always been fairly secretive in any case)

Looks like units being displayed via DPF and the tag manager, top end publishers used to get a better selection of placement, ad types and were allowed to use more than 3 ads per page so that would be my first thought.

Because its going through DPF as well it could be serving ads from different platforms , but its guised as Google because its going via them as a backfill.

Interestingly enough, that first one under the point 7 completely evades my Ad-blocker.

The live strong one could be a variation of the matched content ads or possibly an experimental version of it as its mainly showing related content, the complete opposite to the chron one which is showing me ads from SEMrush and alike, very interested in how its getting past the Ad-block on that one though.

Matched content ads done wonders for bounce rates on a site I had last year, despite the revenue not being much different to normal.

It's probably a premium feed? With 5m+ views (or is it 20m now) you get a lot more control via a bespoke feed they provide you with. Unless of course that has now been deprecated and it's purley CSS driven with the approval of Adsense bods.

Think it's a combination of various attributes, but yeah i think its more like 20m views , 5 million uniques now days.
