Hi Everyone,

Any thoughts on askmy.co.uk ?

Versatile I thought. Well, for something anyway.Pitch your hardpressed queries to...Well, to something as yet undecide ! Some kind of panel of experts. Askmy.....You fill in the gap.....Bet wiki are quaking in their boots! Could be like expertvillage.com but without the budget !

Erm,well hopefully useful for something..

Also picked up vesalius.co.uk and horatius.co.uk - they did their thing many moons ago !

Thanks all,

Steve.

your doing what I did 5 years ago - blowing you dosh on shite domains, and hoping that each new one will be 'the one', save your money unless of course you want to put yourself through a self funded course on how to buy naff domains.

Try picking an area or subject you know lots about and with that knowledge you might find a niche you could develop and monetize.

Harsh but fair :(

I think most of us went through this stage in the beginning. Hopefully I'm mostly through it now, but I do have the occasional relapse.

Shame you can't 'keep the receipt' with domains, and hand them back when you realise that you don't want them after all ;)

Harsh but fair's the best way to be !:)

Thanks for the advice. I hear what you're saying and I'll stick with my bag of 'dodgy' domains until I know more about it all.

It does seem from a beginner's perspective that quality .co.uk's are really difficult to find, but I'm sure that's because like you say Julian these are things I don't know too much about, and I suppose that's what gives them their value.

Thanks again,

Steve.
