Wanted: Service Are there any decent logo designers out there?

I need a logo designed for my wife's candle business.
I've now tried 3 designers and the proofs they have provided have been crap, real bad. Honestly, I cant believe how bad some of them have been.
I've paid between £30 and £200 so far and I've just got a load of rubbish back.
Is there anyone out there that can design me a cool/funky logo without charging me a fortune?
I have quite a prescriptive brief but would prefer to view any portfolios prior.

If I were you I'd try one of the contest sites like 99designs Leading Designer Marketplace for Logo Designs and More?

There are others but I can't remember their names off the top of my head.

Can you post pics of the crap logos so we can see how bad they really are??

They've done about 5 logo's for me including Booze Britain, Close Protection World, Softplay

They are currently working on juniorvips.co.uk , this link forwards to there work in progress. Its going to be a child care site for my sister in her home town, just getting the logo right before I can get her a basic site built.

If your wanting a top design from a top designer, check out Design Forums - UK Graphic Design & Web Design Forum - I am working with a guy from there for graphic work, they are very good.
