On September 8-11, 2025, it.com Domains joined APTLD (Asia Pacific Top-Level Domains Association Conference) 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia. Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services, represented the company at the event.
APTLD brought together domain industry leaders to tackle crucial topics like Internet infrastructure, security, and standardization for domain zone management. Over four days, participants exchanged insights, engaged in discussions, attended seminars, and took part in informal meetings.
This year’s conference focused on several crucial issues such as combating DNS abuse and increasing the level of cybersecurity, the role of national registries in regulating Internet content, challenges and prospects for the development of ccTLDs (country-code top-level domains) in the context of global competition, the use of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) in domain extension management.
Sergey Gorbunov was one of the speakers at the ‘Automation and AI in Registry Operations: Enhancing Efficiency and Security’ session, where participants discussed how new technologies affect the efficiency, security and management of domains.
